Ingredients
One Bowl Chocolate Cake
- 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Granulate Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Espresso Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk, room temperature
- 2 Large Utopihen Pasture Raised Eggs, room temperature
- 12 tbsp Butter, melted
- 2 tsp Vanilla Exract
Chocolate Buttercream
- 2 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
- 10 tbsp Unsalted Butter, room temperature
- 10 oz Semisweet Chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
One Bowl Chocolate Cake
- Preheat oven to 330º F. Grease and flour one 9×13 inch pan and line bottom with parchment.
- To a large bowl add the cocoa, flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, espresso powder and salt. Whisk until combined.
- Whisk in the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth and everything is combined.
- Pour batter into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Buttercream
- In medium bowl add the powdered sugar, cocoa and salt. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
- In bowl of mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until completely combine and smooth. With mixer on low speed, gradually add in the cocoa mixture, mix until completely combined.
- With mixer on low/medium pour melted chocolate in a steady stream into mixture and mix until completely combined.
- Add in the heavy cream, mix until completely combined and smooth.
NOTES:
Once cake is cooled and buttercream is prepared, spread with buttercream and sprinkles (optional).
