Ingredients
  

One Bowl Chocolate Cake

  • 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulate Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Espresso Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk, room temperature
  • 2 Large Utopihen Pasture Raised Eggs, room temperature
  • 12 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Exract

Chocolate Buttercream

  • 2 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 10 tbsp Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 10 oz Semisweet Chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream, room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

One Bowl Chocolate Cake

  • Preheat oven to 330º F. Grease and flour one 9x13 inch pan and line bottom with parchment.
  • To a large bowl add the cocoa, flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, espresso powder and salt. Whisk until combined.
  • Whisk in the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth and everything is combined.
  • Pour batter into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.

Buttercream

  • In medium bowl add the powdered sugar, cocoa and salt. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
  • In bowl of mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until completely combine and smooth. With mixer on low speed, gradually add in the cocoa mixture, mix until completely combined.
  • With mixer on low/medium pour melted chocolate in a steady stream into mixture and mix until completely combined.
  • Add in the heavy cream, mix until completely combined and smooth.

NOTES:

Once cake is cooled and buttercream is prepared, spread with buttercream and sprinkles (optional).
