2 1/4cupPowdered Sugar
1/4cupCocoa Powder
8ozCream Cheese, room temperature
10tbspUnsalted Butter, room temperature
10ozSemisweet Chocolate, melted and cooled
1/2cupHeavy Cream, room temperature
1/2tspSalt
Instructions
One Bowl Chocolate Cake
Preheat oven to 330º F. Grease and flour one 9x13 inch pan and line bottom with parchment.
To a large bowl add the cocoa, flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, espresso powder and salt. Whisk until combined.
Whisk in the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth and everything is combined.
Pour batter into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Buttercream
In medium bowl add the powdered sugar, cocoa and salt. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
In bowl of mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until completely combine and smooth. With mixer on low speed, gradually add in the cocoa mixture, mix until completely combined.
With mixer on low/medium pour melted chocolate in a steady stream into mixture and mix until completely combined.
Add in the heavy cream, mix until completely combined and smooth.
NOTES:
Once cake is cooled and buttercream is prepared, spread with buttercream and sprinkles (optional).
