Not because we see it through rose-colored glasses, but because we work on making it so. And we know you do too.
Your desire to care for the earth and every being on it is why we’re so committed to sustainable farming, the humane treatment of animals, small family farms and bringing you pasture raised eggs.
It’s also why we consider our hens (both duck and chicken) to be our partners in this venture.
We hope you will join us on the journey to create the world we all want to live in – step by step. After all, there is no Planet B…and there’s no time like now.
Utopihen Farms’ pasture raised eggs are all paleo-approved and gluten-free. Our hens enjoy life in small family flocks and not a single pasture raised hen — whether they lay our organic, original, duck or soy-free eggs — ever receives antibiotics or hormones. Learn more about what pasture raised means here.
Utopihen Farms has duck eggs! And they are indeed something special. Duck eggs give cakes extra loft, make treats richer and the larger whites mean extra protein — which is why they’re not only a hit with bakers, but also with the fitness and dieting crowd. Their creamier yolks are thanks to more omega-3 fatty acids (a big reason why they’re so tasty).
They roam free on grassy pastures, peck and scratch like hens should and sometimes get into squabbles (just like people). Of course, they have all the room they need to come to a peaceful solution.
Each of our hens has 110 square feet of space to spread their wings. That’s above the industry standard.
This all-natural feed and environment means that pasture raised hens are healthier — and their eggs are too. Pennsylvania State University proved it:
Researchers found that one egg from a pasture raised hen contains 2x the omega-3 fat, 3x more vitamin D, 4x more vitamin E and 7x more beta-carotene than one egg from a hen raised on traditional feed.
This free-to-flourish lifestyle is why pasture raised egg yolks are so beautifully amber.
Prove it to yourself. Find a store near you and pick up a carton or two…or three. After all, we have quite a variety of pasture raised eggs from which to choose.
